A Review - Geek Chic Cosmetics Joystick Sweet Transvestite

Hey Beautiful People

Lets look are some lippy ;) I am here to talk to you about the Geek Chic Joystick in Sweet Transvestite. This shade has gone under some re-formulation to make it smoother and extra pigmented. Sweet Transvestite is not drying on the lip as it has moisturizing Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E in its formula, the Joystick is also mint flavoured which I personally find nice =)

The overall shape of the joystick isn't ideal for a perfect application in my opinion Sweet Transvestite BEST applied with a lip brush (which I have done in the lip swatches below). If you like Sweet Transvestite you can purchase it on the Geek Chic Cosmetics web store for $5.99 USD.

The colour wore fairly well lasting around 3-4 hours the main fading was after eating so I was fairly happy. The biggest down fall for the GCC Joysticks is that they are not a item you can carry around in your pocket as they melt fairly easily.

I would repurchase this colour again when it runs out.

Product description
GCC Description - gorgeous blackened, orange leaning burgundy with flashes of fiery orange, copper, and red interferences within the deep red base
My Description - Deep Burgundy with orange/red undertones and flashed of copper

Whats your favourite lipstick shade?

Application: 4/5
Packaging: 5/5
Final thoughts:  This shade is one of the more 'firm' GCC Joysticks I have tried it applies fairly well out of the tube though for optimum performance a lip brush is recommended. ST is very pigmented and non drying on the lips. This shade WILL stick to any dry/flaky areas on the lips so ensure they are exfoliated and moisturized.

A Review - Brazen Cosmetics Brow Powder

House Keeping – all products below have been purchased with my own money unless other wise stated and I am not in any way shape or form getting paid for this review. All opinions are my own!!!

Hello Ya'll

soo here is another review this time on my fave indy brow powders. Brazen Cosmetics Brow Powders come in a veriaty of colours from blonde to redhead to a blue-black!! as some of you would know for the last 6 months or so i have been rocking little mermaid red hair and my brows were a nice dark brown sooo I went on the hunt for the perfect colour i ordered 2 mini's in 3g jars in the brightest red Brazen had avaiable. When i got my order the lovely owner sent me a third mini jar i ordered Jessica and Clara and recieved Joan as a gift.

The pricing is as follows for a sample 3g jar it costs $4.25 USD for a full sized 5g jar $9.99 USD and for a professional 10g jar it costs $14.99. In my opinion the 3g jar lasts FOREVER! I've had mine a good 3 months and  use mine everyday (sometimes twice a day) and there is still 3/4's left in the jar!!!

So as you can see the shades DO vary to apply I use a brow PENCIL first and then taking an angled brush I add the powder over the top of the pencil. I found that the waxy pencil helped the colour to adhear better and be more vibrant however the powders DO work very well on their own.

I've swatched the brow powders over a brow wax from a kit I have and bare skin so you can see the difference. All photography is taken indoorrs with a flash (as the weather is horrible at the moment rain and wind!)

Joan
Brazen Description - medium orange/ red-brown
My Description - a orange/brown colour with a hint of red

Clara
Brazen Description- rich, sexy reddish-brown with warm undertones
My Description - a warm dark brown with red undertones

Jessica
Brazen Description - rich, sexy, burgundy red
My Description - A strong burgundy red

And here is a comparision of all 3 shades next to each other

out of the 3 Jessica is my perfect shade it suits my red hair PERFECTLY! however now as I have changed my hair colour i will need to test out more brow powders haha

Do you prefer brow pencils, brow powder or both?

Product:  9/10

Pigmentation: 10/10

Texture: 9/10

Longevity: 7/10

Application: 7/10

Packaging: 9/10

Final thoughts: This is my fave brow powder its pigmented, and long wearing. However I DO recommend using a waxy base first for better staying power I found that worked best for me. for first times it CAN be a little hard to work with but well worth the effort.

A Review - Femme Fatale Cosmetics

The Swatched for Femme Fatal are SLIGHTLY different to my normal Swatches I have swatched these twice and to PROPERLY demonstrate the Duo chrome goodness I have used a White Base, PRIMER and then BLACK base rather then bare skin in the middle

Hey Ya'll

This Blog Review is of an Australian Company called Femme Fatale Cosmetics (FFC), I am a relative 'Newbie' to this company despite FFC having been around for a year! I have noticed the indy blogging world seems to have picked up on FFC (or have I been sleeping?) the owner Sophie's amazing Duo-Chrom powers, almost everything has a touch of Duo-Chrome to it from shadows & blushes to Nail Polish!

FFC pricing is very competitive in the Indy world on par with the majority of Indy stores a 5g jar (no sifter) costs $5.75 AUS, the 3g jar has the option of sifter or no sifter for a slight change in price 3g w/ sifter $3.10 AUS and 3g no sifter $3.00 AUS, Sample baggies are $1.00 each. Postage varies to pre paid sachels (australians have the option to express post items) I have to say I LOVE the fact FFC do NOT have sifters I hate sifters so this is a BIG plus for me!

To day I am reviewing 6 shadows I purcased two 5g jars and four 3g jars

On to the Colour Swatches =)

Hybernate
My Description - This colour has been dicsontinued sadly however this is a bright green with copper sparkles and a gold shift.

Exorcism
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - A medium toned purple with a stunning colour shifting shimmer which alternates between a complimentary purple and a sea green depending on the angle of the light
My Description - A bright mid-toned purple with what appears to be pink and gold sparkle

Hallowed Ground
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - It is a pale asparagus green with stunning red shimmer.
My Description - A Pale borderline pastelle green with a red duo-chrome

Dispersion
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - It is a deep mulberry with bold teal blue shimmer, and one of our top sellers. The duo chrome shimmer on this shade is amazing, our pictures really do not do it any justice. This is a shade not to be missed!
My Description - A Deep warm purple with a strong blue Duo-chrome and slight maroon undertones

Spark of Life
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - It is a soft pale leaf green eye shadow complimented by a striking but subtle green duochrome finish. Soft, versatile and perfect for a toned down everyday look
My Description - A pale green with a broderline metalic finish, and a slightly darker green Duo Chrome

Space Cow
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - It is a soft lavender eye shadow tinged with grey and highlighted by a muted reddish pink shimmer
My Description - A Deep lavender with a darker purple dup chrome and violet glitter

Overall I am really quite impressed with these colours the Duo-chromes are amazing and the products are finly milled and pigmented. Its really great to see a Australian Indy company, all my items arrived in a quick manner well above the TAT and were packaged securely. Of these 6 colours my fave would be Dispersion it a beautiful lid colour with its complex formula! The ONLY thing i have to say is in my opinion these shades work BEST over a sticky base such as Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy to really bring out their Duo Chromes =)

Have you tried Femme Fatale? If so whats your favrouite shade?

Xoxo

Final thoughts: These shades are INSANELY pigmented and complex, I love how you have the sifter option! This product is DEFINITELY best used with a sticky base and patted on the lid not swiped on. Items arrived well above TAT and were wrapped securely in bubble wrap. If your obsessed with Duo Chrome check out Femme Fatale!!!
