A Review - Chinovi Cosmetics - Hocus Pocus Collection LE

House Keeping – all products below have been purchased with my own money and I am not in any way shape or form getting paid for this review. All opinions are my own!!!

Hello Beautiful People

So here is a very quick review on the Chinovi Cosmetics 2012 Halloween collection and YES it is STILL available!! now for a discounted price =) you can pick this baby up for $20USD for the FULL sized collection -----> Here and YES I am enabling you all ;)

So Basically this collection was born from Chinovi Owner Vanessa's love of the movie Hocus Pocus which she has translated rather well into a shadow collection =)

As with all Chinovi collections the lable reflects the theme for this collection the lable has a cute little christmas tree. When ordering you have 4 options all in USD value ~ Sample bag - $1.00, Clamshell -$1.25, Full Size Jar w/out sifter - $4.75 and Full Size Jar W/ Sifter - $5.00
Sample Bags and Clamshells look to have about 1/4 tsp of product good for quite a few uses. Full Sized jars average around 1.2 g of product. This Collection also has unique labelling =) a nice added touch.

Chinovi also list on each shade whether its lip safe or vegan making it easy to choose select shades depending on your intention of use.

I feel this collection dose capture the essence of the movie and the colours suit perfectly for a Halloween theme however are also versatile enough to be used in everyday looks.

Onto colour descriptions and photos (which is why you are all here i know) =)

Colour Descriptions

Salem

Final thoughts: I feel the collection is very well rounded and quite pigmented, the shades are quite smooth and don't feel gritty on the eye. There are some very versatile shades also all of the shades in this collection would be fantastic to use in a smokey eye.

A Review - Femme Fatale Cosmetics

The Swatched for Femme Fatal are SLIGHTLY different to my normal Swatches I have swatched these twice and to PROPERLY demonstrate the Duo chrome goodness I have used a White Base, PRIMER and then BLACK base rather then bare skin in the middle

~~~~~~~~~~~~~{@
Hey Ya'll
This Blog Review is of an Australian Company called Femme Fatale Cosmetics (FFC), I am a relative 'Newbie' to this company despite FFC having been around for a year! I have noticed the indy blogging world seems to have picked up on FFC (or have I been sleeping?) the owner Sophie's amazing Duo-Chrom powers, almost everything has a touch of Duo-Chrome to it from shadows & blushes to Nail Polish!
FFC pricing is very competitive in the Indy world on par with the majority of Indy stores a 5g jar (no sifter) costs $5.75 AUS, the 3g jar has the option of sifter or no sifter for a slight change in price 3g w/ sifter $3.10 AUS and 3g no sifter $3.00 AUS, Sample baggies are $1.00 each. Postage varies to pre paid sachels (australians have the option to express post items) I have to say I LOVE the fact FFC do NOT have sifters I hate sifters so this is a BIG plus for me!
To day I am reviewing 6 shadows I purcased two 5g jars and four 3g jars
On to the Colour Swatches =)
Hybernate
My Description - This colour has been dicsontinued sadly however this is a bright green with copper sparkles and a gold shift.
Exorcism
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - A medium toned purple with a stunning colour shifting shimmer which alternates between a complimentary purple and a sea green depending on the angle of the light
My Description - A bright mid-toned purple with what appears to be pink and gold sparkle
Hallowed Ground
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - It is a pale asparagus green with stunning red shimmer.
My Description - A Pale borderline pastelle green with a red duo-chrome
Dispersion
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - It is a deep mulberry with bold teal blue shimmer, and one of our top sellers. The duo chrome shimmer on this shade is amazing, our pictures really do not do it any justice. This is a shade not to be missed!
My Description - A Deep warm purple with a strong blue Duo-chrome and slight maroon undertones
Spark of Life
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - It is a soft pale leaf green eye shadow complimented by a striking but subtle green duochrome finish. Soft, versatile and perfect for a toned down everyday look
My Description - A pale green with a broderline metalic finish, and a slightly darker green Duo Chrome
Space Cow
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Description - It is a soft lavender eye shadow tinged with grey and highlighted by a muted reddish pink shimmer
My Description - A Deep lavender with a darker purple dup chrome and violet glitter
Overall I am really quite impressed with these colours the Duo-chromes are amazing and the products are finly milled and pigmented. Its really great to see a Australian Indy company, all my items arrived in a quick manner well above the TAT and were packaged securely. Of these 6 colours my fave would be Dispersion it a beautiful lid colour with its complex formula! The ONLY thing i have to say is in my opinion these shades work BEST over a sticky base such as Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy to really bring out their Duo Chromes =)
Have you tried Femme Fatale? If so whats your favrouite shade?
Xoxo
Final thoughts: These shades are INSANELY pigmented and complex, I love how you have the sifter option! This product is DEFINITELY best used with a sticky base and patted on the lid not swiped on. Items arrived well above TAT and were wrapped securely in bubble wrap. If your obsessed with Duo Chrome check out Femme Fatale!!!
A Review - Madd Style Cosmetics Stardust collection
House Keeping – all products below have been purchased with my own money and I am not in any way shape or form getting paid for this review. All opinions are my own!!!
Hey All
I'm back YAY ;) OK so i am reviewing the Madd Style Cosmetics (MSC) Stardust Collection this is a Limited Edition Collection Black based collection with Colour morphing glitter and retails at $22.38 Australian so once I got it I quickly swatched them LUCKY the weather was  agreeing that the plain awesomeness that is this collection NEEDED to be seen any who onto the nitty gritty
the MSC owner Mo has described this collection as
This entire collection is based off of Neil Gaiman's novel, Stardust! Each color is black-based and features color-morphing glitter!
Mo has also linked some Video footage of this collection
If you would like to see video-footage of these shadows in action, please visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOrwT7dY7R8&feature=plcp
for all my Vegan's out there as with all the other MSC colours this is 100% VEGAN!! bonus =)
this Collection consists of 5 shades with YES COLOUR MORPHING GLITTER!!!! this collection while pretty was a NIGHTMARE to photograph as I am sure any other blogger or person who's used these colour in photographs will tell you... However I feel that I was able to capture the colours fairly well as I mentioned at the start this is a VERY photo heavy entry simply due to the extreme PITA it is to photograph well ;p but the colours are defiantly worth the frustration.
now onto photos and colour descriptions please note all colours have been photographed indoors with flash, outside in the shade and in direct sunlight I found this was the most effective way to capture the colour morph.!
*NOTE - all colours are swatched over a White base, bare skin and a Black base the Circle swatch is over Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy*
STORMHOLD RUBY
MSC description -  has color-morphing sparkles that change from red to orange to yellow
My Description -  this black based colour took on a purple hue the glitter seemed to morphed more red and orange I didn't see much yellow.
TRAVEL BY CANDLELIGHT
MSC description -  has color-morphing sparkles that change from gold to green to blue.
My Description - the Black base took on a emerald green hue the glitter morphing Green and Gold the most strongly I DID see a blue shift but that didn't seen to photograph well
GAVE HER HEART AWAY
MSC description -  has color-morphing sparkles that change from indigo to purple to red.
My description - the black base appears like a dark purple hue the glitter morphing well between purple and red in some angles it ALMOST looks like there is Aqua glitter but I think the indigo shift must be a very light indigo and THAT'S what I am seeing.
ACROSS THE WALL
MSC description - has color-morphing sparkles that change from blue to purple to red.
My description -  the black base took on a indigo hue i can most clearly see the 3 colours morphing in this shade however it doesn't photograph the shift well
TO CATCH A FALLING STAR
MSC description - has color-morphing sparkles that change from blue to red to cyan.
My description - the black base took on a mid tone blue hue, the glitter morphing clearly between the blue and Cyan I don't see much of a red shift.
when I originally saw the collection I fell in love with Travel by Candlelight however once I had them in my hands Across the wall surprised me and quickly became my favourite in the collection. I know a lot of you may not be comfortable with black based shadows so I also turned all 5 shades into liner and swatched them for you so you could see another way to use the collection
*NOTE - the shadows have been mixed with Eye Kandy Liquid Sugar to turn them into liquid liner*
Annnnnd that is all as i mentioned earlier if this collection catches your fancy it is Limited edition and once its gone its gone
whats your favourite colour?
Final thoughts: this is a great set to help spice up your collection one of my favourite collections from MSC, i rated the application a little lower as for this collection you REALLY need a good sticky base (like Pixie epoxy) in my opinion to really get the full effect of these colours. for a glitter packed collection the set is smooth and easy to blend however I recommend PATTING this collection on and minimal blending or you will loose that pretty glitter.
