Hello Beautiful People

So here is a very quick little review on 3 of the shades in Geek Chic Cosmetics latest  Scapers collection I was sent these 3 shades for consideration to review, I was stoaked to get the Glitter to review I am a totally Glitter junkie so I was pretty excited to review... Sadly mother nautre has been against me its been cloudy/raining on and off FINALLY i had a very small window of sun and i swatched up a storm =) this is a new way of swatching i am trying out (so let me know what you think) it shades swatched over bareskin with Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy on top

The shades i recieved are Starburst, Frell! and Bonded to the stars Starburst is the glitter mix while Frell! and Bonded to the stars are pigments. The glitter is well mixed with a good ratio of colours it didnt feel gritty once my glitter base dried I couldnt feel it at all.

As for the pigments they are well blended and are fairly pigmented over bare skin as always I personally feel all loose pigments preform better over a base. The shades are smooth and blend well Bonded to the stars preforms better over a sticky base to really get the glitter to pop and not fall out.

So as always this collection is avaiable online at Geek Chic the whole collection is avaiable individually or you get by the entire collection (8 pigments and 1 glitter) at a discounted price. All the shadows are avaiable in sample sizes.

Samples come in Clam shells and for $1.25USD you get about a 'dash' of product PLENTY for multiple uses. Full Sized jars are $5.99 USD and you get 1g of product in a 5g jar with a sifter. The lip glosses are $4.99 each and the Glitter is 1g for $2.99. If you wanted to purchase the collection as a whole it is $39.99 which qualifys you for free shipping!

These colours were added to a order I had placed previously and was posted well within the stated TAT and were recieved in australia within around 2 weeks. I ordered the rest of the collection so that i can do a full review for you guys so when it gets here (and if mother nature stays kind haha) i will get them swatched and on here asap =)

Onto swatches and colour descriptions

Final thoughts: Overall these 3 colours preformed well, the glitter didnt clump nor did it feel gritty. the Pigments are smooth and apply well they also blend well with other non GCC shades. the white is semi-shear over bare skin for a more intense look a base colour or stick base is recommended.

Lip Glosses Colour Description
Banished
GCC Description - Banished is an inky, nearly opaque deep indigo lip gloss. It is laced with a beautiful violet interference and a burst of gorgeous purple sparkles. Used sparsely, Banished is a fantastic layering gloss that adds a little vamp and oomph to your lighter toned colors, but can be easily built up to full opacity.Banished is a sweet treat to wear with its tasty buttercream frosting flavoring. Really pops and gets great wear time when paired with a lip primer.
My Description - A Deep blue/purple gloss with purple glitter, sweet flavout mod to full opacity.

Benevolent
GCC Description - A soft, yet vibrant cool-toned bubblegum pink lip gloss. It is a sassy explosion of a whole rainbow of sparkles in minty green, vibrant violet, a splash of aqua, all intermingled with holo sparkle too! Benevolent has a secret side to it. When in the right light it has an incredible spring green shift that almost appears to float on top of the pink. It goes on nearly opaque and tastes like a sweet mint julep
My Description - A Bright bubblegum Pink with holo-sparkle mod to full opaque with a miny taste.

Overall i feel this is quite a cute collection! the colours are all fairly true to the character, I DO feel something is missing but cant put my finger on it... maybe if there was an additional shadow more neutral to tie it all together?

What was your favourite colour in this collection?
xoxo

Final thoughts: Overall I enjoy this collection and while I am a self-confessed glitter addict I feel a green pigment would have helped tie the whole collection together. The glosses really require a smooth primed lip to glide on and not grab at flaky lips in a way remnding me of Matte lipsticks. A Sticky base like DG glitterglue or Fyrinnae PE is deff recommended.

NOTE PHOTO HEAVY BLOG POST!!!!!

Hey Ya'll

Today we are going to look at one of my all time favourite beauty products.... GLITTER!!! Yep you heard me haha so recently  Madd Style Cosmetics (MSC) released their own web store and a tonne of new products including 9 glitter vials commonly known as Glitter Bombs. These cute glitters are packaged in 1/2 Dram bottles with screw tops (and arrive sealed in a small zip bag, and wrapped in bubble-wrap for proper shipping) these baby's cost $4.50 USD each + S&H.

Now I can almost hear some of you go 'WHAT that's so SMALL' but rest assured I PROMISE there is a BUTT TONNE of glitter packed into that cute Dram. Don't believe me take a look for your self!

This is Gold Digger Glitter decanted into a 3g jar that is FULL to the brim so PLENTY of glitter there =) when you get your vial it MAY look a little less full then the photos but that's just due to the glitter settling if you shake it a little your vial will magically refill it's self (well not really but how cool would that be? never ending glitter!! Now lets be serious for a moment once you get to the swatch pics you'll see that the Dram vials have a small opening which IS to small to get a brush in. You could get a VERY fine liner brush in so you will need a cleanable surface ef plate or palette ect to tap a little out or you could do like I did on the above photo and decant into a small Jar. If you chose the Jar option the SMALLEST you can get to fit it all in is a 3g jar.

As with all MSC stuff 100% Vegan and Cruelty-free. Glitter Bombs are 100% cosmetic grade glitter and is safe to use on Eyes, Lips and Face (NOTE this is the LARGEST cut of glitter safe for eye area)
Ingredients: .008 cosmetic grade micro-glitter.

Now to be honest with you all while I WAS excited to get these the vial photos made them appear 1 dimensioned (I SHOULD have known better Forgive me Mo?) however once me and my little swatching brush got onto it the amazing blend of glitters could really be seen =) all Glitters have been swatched on a bare are with Lit Glitter Glue

OK so lets get onto the phots =) I am trialing some new ways to show my swatches/photographs ect any and all feedback is aprecialted

I feel that I was able to capture the glitter colours are true to life =) out of the 9 Glitter Bombs my MUST have acctually suprised me Material Girl and Ice Queen are the most unique I feel out of the collection and are MUST haves. Sea Siren  and Foxy lady are also must haves =) I cant find anything by itself in my glitter stash that are similar if I mixed glitters I most likely could make something similar but why do it when I have these prettys =)

Have you tried any of the MSC glitters? Whats your fave

Final thoughts:  Everyone knows I am a Glitter freak! the web site doesn't do these colours Justice the glitters are much more complex then their vial photos show. In terms of packaging if you dont want to tap out some glitter each time you use them I recommend buying some plastic jars or baggies and decanting into them. Overall I love all the glitters they apply best using a glitter base like Lit Glitter Glue ot Eye Kandy Liquid Sugar to really adhear to the lid or area you are placing the glitter.
