Hey Ya'll

So on my last trip to the City one of our shopping malls had JUST opened a official MAC PRO store and there I found this little gem MAC Chromaline in Landscape green which is a bright kelly green colour. Now for those of you who don't know what a Chromaline is well MAC have described it as a gel/cream liner, HOWEVER if you read the 2 pg leaflet included in the box you will see that Landscape Green is ACTUALLY not lip or eye safe (it appears MAC intended the chromalines to be dense body paint) so what to do with this item. Well before i actually READ the flyer I used Landscape green as a eyeshadow base.

Now I'm not telling you that MAC are wrong and this is eye safe however on ME I haven't suffered ANY ill effects or staining from using this on my lids. Some of the main concerns for using Landscape green on the lids is the possibility of  staining or irritation from dyes (like red dyes).

This product is very smooth and pigmented, best applied with a finger and blended out however it would also be a good bodypaint for small areas. Chromalines retail at $35AUS and are only avaiable at a MAC Pro store

So have you ever used a product for something other then its intended use?

Xoxo

Final thoughts: While this item isnt 'officially' eye safe I havent had any issues it has made a fab coloured base, it applys smoothly and evenly.

  1. I have most of the chromagraphic pencils and I love them, I want to try the creams. It's a US policy with certain colors or dyes to say they aren't eye/lip safe so they have to put that...I use them wherever I want, haha.
